LPG Price Cut: The month of May has started with relief news and this relief is on the inflation front. Actually, oil marketing companies have cut the prices of LPG cylinders for the second consecutive month. However, this time also the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been reduced. Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country, cylinder prices have decreased by Rs 19-20 from Delhi to Mumbai. The new cylinder prices have been updated on the IOCL website, which are applicable from May 1, 2024.
19 in Delhi, 20 rupees cheaper in Kolkata
According to the website of oil marketing company Indian Oil, from May 1, the price of 9 kg commercial gas cylinder in the capital Delhi has been reduced by Rs 19 (Delhi LPG Price) and its price has come down from Rs 1764.50 to Rs 1745.50. Is. Similarly, the price of Commercial LPG Cylinder in Mumbai has come down from Rs 1717.50 to Rs 1698.50. In Chennai also this cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 19 and its price has come down from Rs 1930 to Rs 1911.
However, the price of commercial cylinder in Kolkata has been reduced by 1 rupee more i.e. 20 rupees and till now this cylinder which was being sold for 1879 rupees, has now become 1859 rupees here.
Prices had decreased so much in the month of April
Earlier, on the first day of the new financial year i.e. 1st April 2024, oil marketing companies had given great relief to the consumers by cutting the commercial LPG Cylinder price. After the cut, the price of 19 kg LPG cylinder in the capital Delhi was reduced by Rs 30.50 to Rs 1764.50. Whereas, in Kolkata the price of commercial cylinder was reduced by Rs 32 and here it became Rs 1879. The price of a cylinder in Mumbai was reduced by Rs 31.50 to Rs 1717.50 and in Chennai it was reduced by Rs 30.50 to Rs 1930.
No change in domestic cylinder prices again
It is noteworthy that commercial gas cylinders are used for commercial purposes in hotels or restaurants. In such a situation, eating and drinking outside may become cheaper due to reduction in its price. On the other hand, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder used in household kitchens this time too.
According to IOCL’s website, their prices remain the same. Its price remains Rs 803 in the capital Delhi and Rs 603 for Ujjwala beneficiaries. Like before, domestic cylinder is available in Kolkata at Rs 829, in Mumbai at Rs 802.50 and in Chennai at Rs 818.50.
