Air India: Air India said in a post on ‘X’ that it will resume services between Delhi and Tel Aviv with five weekly flights from May 16, 2024.
Delhi Tel Aviv Flights: has revealed plans to restart its air route between Delhi and Tel Aviv from May 16 after a temporary suspension due to tensions in the Middle East. The move is an important step for the Tata-owned airline, showing resilience amid ongoing regional conflicts.
The airline initially halted its flights to and from Tel Aviv as a security precaution due to rising tensions in the region.
On 19 April, Air India reported its flight suspension to Tel Aviv to continue till 30 April. This suspension time was then extended to May 15, as announced via a post on Twitter. The upcoming resumption in May, with five weekly flights, is a welcome development for passengers between the two destinations.
This comes after the airline’s services were halted for almost five months, with its operations halted again before resuming on March 3.
The decision to resume flights is notable especially against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, which has kept tensions high in the Middle East. Air India’s commitment to restart these flights reflects its confidence in managing international air travel under challenging circumstances.
This resumption of services is expected to facilitate travel for individuals and businesses, acting as a bridge between the two countries despite geopolitical challenges. As the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, Air India’s move to reconnect Delhi and Tel Aviv underlines the importance of maintaining global connectivity despite adverse conditions.
