Thailand Visa Waived: There is good news for Indians planning to visit Thailand. Indians will no longer have to pay visa fees to go to Thailand. However, there was exemption on visa fees earlier also but its period was ending on May 1, 2024, which has now been extended.
In this regard, the Cabinet of Thailand has approved the plan to extend the visa exemption for tourists from India and Taiwan by six months.

Visa free entry for Indians till 11 November
Tourists from India and Taiwan will be able to enter Thailand without a visa until November 11 after the current relaxations expire on Friday, Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin told reporters after a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Under the rules, travelers can stay for a maximum of 30 days at a time.
The decision to again waive visa fees has been taken after the success of the waiver given in November last year. Indian and Taiwanese tourists can generally stay in Thailand for up to 15 days under visa-on-arrival. Whereas if you apply online in advance, you can stay for 30 days.
It is noteworthy that tourism-dependent Thailand is relaxing visa rules for travelers from some of its main markets including China and Russia. More than 12 million foreign tourists have visited Thailand during the first four months of 2024, a 39 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
