According to the state government, two wheelers will get oil worth only Rs 200 per day. At the same time, you can fill oil worth Rs 500 daily in a four-wheeler. There has been a decline in the movement of goods trains in the state. Due to which the stores of petrol and diesel have decreased. In such a situation, the government has set a limit in the purchase and sale of petrol and diesel.
Why was there shortage of petrol and diesel in the state?
In fact, large scale incidents of landslides were reported in Jatinga, Assam. Due to which goods trains are not able to reach Tripura. Although passenger train service was restored on April 26 after repair work, train service via Jatinga is still suspended at night. Due to which the movement of trains has reduced considerably. In such a situation, the supply of petrol and diesel has become very weak. Nirmal Adhikari, Additional Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies Department, said that due to less supply, it has been decided to impose some restrictions on the sale of petrol and diesel from May 1 till further orders.
The order has been given to petrol pumps by the state government. In the order issued by the government, it has been said that petrol pumps can sell only 60 liters of diesel to a bus in a day. Whereas mini buses will get 40 liters of oil, auto rickshaws and three-wheelers will get 15 liters of oil daily.
