Why is the company insisting on increasing the tariff?
Bharti Airtel has said that there is a great need to increase the tariff. ARPU is not increasing much. The average revenue per user (ARPU) of the company should be Rs 300, Airtel’s ARPU in the fourth quarter of the last financial year was Rs 209. In such a situation, the tariff plan can be increased to reduce this gap. Understand it in this way that the company is taking time to recover the amount it is spending on each user or it is not earning that much. This is the real reason why the company has decided to increase the tariff plan.
How much can the company increase?
Bharti Airtel says that the capex size will not be very big in FY25. Are considering acquisition in B2B segment. At the same time, there is no possibility of much growth in global business either. Therefore, the company’s loss can be covered only by increasing the tariff. Experts estimate that the tariff plan can be increased by up to 25 percent.
How expensive will recharge be?
If the company makes the recharge plan expensive by 25%, then the Rs 200 plan will become Rs 250. Meaning there will be a direct difference of Rs 50. On recharge of Rs 500, the price will increase by Rs 125. Currently, the cheapest and basic plan of Bharti Airtel is Rs 29.
