There has been a consensus on increasing the halt of Vande Bharat Express from two minutes to three minutes at Prayagraj Junction and Kanpur Central and its proposal has been sent to the board. While tenders will now be issued for 24-hour emergency medical rooms at big railway stations. Along with this, proposals have been passed on many points in the meeting.
Prayagraj. There has been a consensus on increasing the halt of Vande Bharat Express from two minutes to three minutes at Prayagraj Junction and Kanpur Central and its proposal has been sent to the board. While now tenders will be issued for 24-hour emergency medical room at big railway stations.
At the same time, the halt of Ajmer Sealdah Express at Fatehpur station, construction of 250 meters of road on the Cantt side of Kanpur Central, air-conditioned waiting room and VIP lounge at Manik station, construction of new station building in the city towards south in Fatehpur along with the proposal for ticket sales have also been given the green signal. However, the proposal to run Intercity Express between Kanpur and Prayagraj in the morning and evening has not got the green signal.
Regarding these proposals, a meeting of Prayagraj Division Rail Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) of North Central Railway was held in DRM office on Wednesday. In the first meeting of the session 2022-23, 21 DRUCC members put forward their proposals.
In the meeting, DRM Himanshu Badoni assured to resolve all the problems and said that you exchange the problems and suggestions of the general public and rail users, so that we get cooperation in improving our facilities and help in doing development works as per the requirements. He gave information about the development work going on at 15 Amrit Bharat stations.
Senior DCM Himanshu Shukla gave information about 324 trains running at a speed of 130, stalls at 38 stations under One Station One Product Campaign, Rail Coach Restaurent in Prayagraj and Mirzapur, Water Vending Machines, Automatic Ticket Vending Machines, Mechanized Cleaning etc. Said that we are providing services to about 2 lakh passengers daily from 151 stations. Now our earnings are 7.22 crores every day.
In the meeting, Vinod Kumar from Noida, Amarendra Kumar from Gurugram, Sanjay Pandit from Aligarh, Rajesh Hajela from Farrukhabad, Gopal Yadav from Etawah, Mahendra Nath Modi from Kanpur, Jitendra Kumar Pandey from Kanpur, Virendra Kumar and Jagnayak Singh Yadav from Kanpur, Girish Chandra Yadav and D Tripathi from Fatehpur, Omkar Nath Gautam, Pravesh Kesarwani, Rawendra Pratap Singh and Chandrakesh Kushwaha from Kaushambi, Rajkumar Tripathi, Puneet Trivedi, Praveen Chandra Srivastava, Ratan Agarwal, Ashok Kumar Pandey, Shashank Sonkar, Anita Jaiswal, Shiv Shankar Singh, Tribhuvan Nath Patel and Shiv Prasad Tripathi from Prayagraj presented their proposals.
Major proposals on which consensus was reached
Indicators and boards will be installed on platform number one to avoid getting lost and reaching platform number six of Prayagraj Junction.
When the ticket of passengers with waiting tickets is not confirmed after the chart is prepared, they should get extra time to buy the ticket.
A campaign will be launched to stop the entry of beggars and unauthorized people in the train.
Tender process will start for 24-hour emergency medical room at big railway stations.
Air-conditioned waiting room, VIP lounge, parking,
Deluxe toilet, ATM, rail coach restaurant, fruit juice stall at Manikpur railway station.
RUB and ROB will be built at Bargarh railway crossing gate.
Fatehpur
6 meter FOB with ramp on the eastern side of Fatehpur station
A new station building is being constructed in the city on the south side of Fatehpur station, tickets will be sold here
Ajmer Sealdah Express will have a halt, a proposal has been sent to the board with recommendation
Kaushambi
Coach display boards will be installed at Bharwari and Sirathu railway stations.
Noida
Special campaign will be launched to stop charging higher prices for water bottles at stations
Gurugram
Loco pilots have been directed to use draft gear to prevent passengers from getting jolted in trains
Etah
RPF team has been formed to stop vehicles and bikes from being carried to Etah railway station
Aligarh
Sleeper waiting room, AC waiting room, executive lounge, sleeping pad, gaming zone will be built in the building constructed at the second entrance
Etawah
Booking hall and passenger waiting room will be built towards platform number five. A 12 feet wide over bridge will be built which will be connected to lift and escalator
Kanpur
The entry road from Kanpur Central to Cantt (from Khapra Mohal Bridge to Railway Station) will be constructed from the station redevelopment budget.
A proposal for Vande Bharat to halt for three minutes at Kanpur Central was sent to the board.
A 250 meter road from Lucknow Crossing Bridge to the station on the Cantt side of Kanpur Central will be constructed under station redevelopment.
Many trains will be shifted and run at Govindpuri station by developing pit line, watering and charging facilities.
Ghaziabad
Deluxe toilets will be constructed at Ghaziabad and nearby stations.
There will be a system of evaluation and quick feedback for the food service inside the train.
Rail coach restaurants will be built in Dadri, Tundla, Chheoki, Subedarganj, Aligarh, Khurja, Govindpuri and Kanpur.
