She has also shared this unexpected incident on social media. She told how the situation became terrifying for her when she was flying the plane and the roof of the plane opened. This incident happened with Dutch pilot Naren Melkumjan. She told that she had to face a terrible experience while flying a two-seater plane. In the video clip released on social media, she is seen a little disturbed from the beginning. She says that she had practiced twice before flying. She admitted that if all the parts of the plane were checked properly before flying, then she would not have to face such a situation.
What happened?
She said in a post on X that she was flying the plane and then suddenly the transparent enclosure protecting the cockpit opened. She was scared for a few moments. However, she did not lose courage and successfully landed the plane. She admitted that the canopy locking pin was not properly secured before flying.
She further said that the noise of the wind was so loud that she was not even in a position to send a message to anyone. In such a situation, she thought and decided that she just had to keep flying. During this time she was having a lot of trouble breathing and was not able to see properly due to the air pressure. Melkumjan revealed, “It took me about 28 hours to get back to normal.”
He wrote in his message to other pilots, “If you are a pilot and are watching this, I hope my story will serve as a lesson for you and you will learn from my mistakes.”
