Rent transaction

Customers using CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, Freecharge and other such services to pay rent will be charged 1% on the transaction amount, which will be limited to ₹ 3000 per transaction.

Fuel transactions

Transactions less than ₹15,000 per transaction will not attract any extra charge. However, transactions above ₹15,000 will attract a 1% charge on the entire amount, limited to ₹3,000 per transaction.

Utility transactions

Transactions less than ₹50,000 will attract a 1% charge on the entire amount, limited to ₹3000 per transaction.

It is important to note that insurance transactions are exempt from this charge.

Educational transactions

Payments made directly through college or school websites or their POS machines will be charge-free.

However, transactions made through third party apps like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik and others will attract a 1% charge, limited to ₹3000 per transaction.

International educational payments are excluded from this charge.

International/Cross Currency Transactions

A 3.5% markup charge will be applicable on all international or cross currency transactions.

Late Payment Charges

The late payment charge structure has been revised based on the outstanding amount from ₹100 to ₹1,300.

EMI Processing Charges

An EMI processing charge of up to ₹299 will be applicable on availing the Easy-EMI option at any online or offline store. All the charges mentioned above are subject to GST as per government regulations, HDFC Bank said.

Other Changes

In addition, HDFC Bank will implement the changes in its Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus credit cards from August 1, 2024. From August 1, 2024, users of Tata New Infinity HDFC Bank credit card will get 1.5% NewCoins on eligible UPI transactions made using Tata New UPI ID.
