Gold fell by Rs 56 (-0.08%) in the Indian futures market and was trading around Rs 71,526 per 10 grams. On Friday, gold closed at Rs 71,582. Silver was also on a decent decline. Silver fell by Rs 192 (-0.22%) to Rs 86,975 per kg. Its previous closing was at 87,167.
Prices rose in bullion market
On Friday, gold rose by Rs 370 to Rs 72,550 per 10 grams in the bullion market of the national capital. The precious metal strengthened in the domestic market amid a rise in the prices of precious metals in the global markets. In the last trading session, gold closed at Rs 72,180 per 10 grams. The price of silver also rose by Rs 600 to close at Rs 91,200 per kg, which was Rs 90,600 per kg in the previous trading session.
