Heavy Rain Alert: Red alert for heavy rain issued in these 18 states for the next 4 days, know the condition of your state

IMD has predicted in its latest report that heavy rains are likely in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till July 8.

IMD Rain and Weather Update 5 June: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next four days. IMD says that till July 8, there may be heavy to very heavy rain in various regions of these two states. Kumaon division of Uttarakhand is expected to be the most affected. This division has been put on red alert till July 8.

An orange alert has been issued for the Dhawal division. It has been advised to remain alert about landslides and rising water levels of rivers. In view of heavy rains, Dehradun district and block level officers have been ordered not to give leave till September 30.

At the same time, an orange alert for heavy rains has been issued for Friday and Saturday in most districts of Uttar Pradesh. There will be heavy rain here till July 8. On Thursday, the monsoon trough line was passing through Bikaner, Churu, Orai and Purulia. During the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 21 cm was recorded in Ramnagar of Barabanki.

The IMD says that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad till July 6. Apart from this, there will be torrential rains in Himachal Pradesh on July 6-7. A red alert has been issued in Uttarakhand till July 8. During this time, there will be heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Chandigarh.
