Actually, under this scheme, beneficiaries are given a subsidy of Rs 300 along with free LPG connection. Just before the Lok Sabha elections, in the month of March, the cabinet of the Central Government had approved the continuation of subsidy of Rs 300 on LPG cylinder to the consumers of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Under this, the beneficiaries of the scheme will continue to get a subsidy of Rs 300 till March 31, 2025. This means that apart from July, the beneficiaries will be able to avail the benefit of Rs 300 discount on LPG cylinder for the next eight months.
