Underground Metro 3 route in Mumbai will open for passengers from July 24. Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Executive Director Suyash Trivedi said that the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) station will be the largest in India and one of the longest stations in the world. Many trains will arrive and terminate at this station.
Therefore, this station will work like a junction. Different tunnels have been prepared for this station and special technology has been used in making them. The most important thing is that two trains can pass through this tunnel simultaneously.
Features of Mumbai’s first underground metro
- Mumbai’s first underground metro line, ‘Aqua Line’ (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ), is set to open on July 24.
- It will run for 33.5 km with 27 stops from Aarey Colony to Cuffe Parade.
- The length of the underground metro rail station is about 475 meters, while other metro stations are usually built from 200 to 250 meters.
- Trains coming from many places will connect to each other at this station, so that passengers do not need to go out after coming to the metro station.
- The special thing is that there is also a bullet train station at a distance of one kilometer from this station.
- Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation officials said that in future a plan will be made to connect BKC station and bullet train.
- According to the information, to travel in Mumbai Metro, you may have to pay a fare of Rs 10 for 0 to 2 km and up to Rs 40 for more than that distance.
- People traveling in the metro will get entry with their cards and tokens.

According to the report, the metro in Aqua Line will pass through about 27 stations, which include, Cuffe Parade, Vidhan Sabha, Churchgate, Hutatma Chowk, CST Metro, Kalbadevi, Girgaon, Grant Road, Mumbai Central Metro, Mahalaxmi, Science Museum, Acharya Atre Chowk, Worli, Siddhivinayak, Dadar, Sitaldevi, Dharavi, BKC, Vidyanagari, Santacruz, Domestic Airport, Sahar Road, International Airport, Marol Naka, MIDC, Seepz, Aarey Depot Metro Station.
