IMD has warned of heavy rains in these states this week, today it will rain heavily in many areas

IMD Weather Update: The weather bulletin of the Meteorological Department said that widespread light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand this week. Scattered to widespread rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan

IMD Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department of India (IMD) has issued a detailed forecast predicting heavy rains in different parts of the country this week. The Meteorological Department has said that Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan may receive heavy rains today i.e. Monday (July 29). Rains are expected to continue till July 30 in some other states including Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

The IMD weather bulletin said, “Widespread light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand this week. Scattered to widespread rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan.”

IMD forecast issued in these states

– The weather agency has also predicted an increase in rainfall activity over eastern parts of the country from Tuesday, July 30, along with ‘heavy rain’ at isolated places. Madhya Pradesh is also likely to receive widespread heavy rainfall. Coastal Karnataka and Kerala have also been warned of floods in some areas due to heavy rains.

– The IMD forecast indicates that these intense rainfall patterns are likely to continue, with the potential impact extending to other parts of the country. The weather department has said that areas already receiving heavy rainfall should prepare for further rains. People have been advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

– The weather department has predicted “very heavy rains” in Odisha on July 29. Apart from this, heavy rains are also expected at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 24 hours.

– IMD has said that during this period, there may be rain in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. There may also be rain in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Till July 29, there is a possibility of widespread light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. There will be sporadic to widespread rain in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan.

Western India

– Very heavy rain is expected in Konkan and Goa on July 29.

– Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to receive rain on July 29.

– Many states of Gujarat will also receive heavy rain on July 29.

Northern India

– Very heavy rain is expected in Uttarakhand on July 29.

– A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh till July 30.

– Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad will receive heavy rain on July 29.

– Haryana-Chandigarh will receive rain on July 29 and 30.

– Heavy rain is expected in Punjab on July 30.

Southern India

– Kerala, Mahe, coastal and south interior Karnataka are likely to receive rain till July 30.

North Eastern India

– Odisha will receive very heavy rainfall at isolated places till July 30.

– Arunachal Pradesh is likely to receive heavy rainfall at isolated places on July 29.

– Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur will receive rain on July 29 and 30.

– Many districts of Jharkhand will receive heavy rains on July 29 and 30.
