New Metro Station: There is a big good news for the people of Delhi. About two and a half kilometer of the 28.92 kilometer corridor from Janakpuri West to RK Ashram being built in Delhi Metro Phase 4 is ready for operation. Trial on this corridor has been completed, Metro Rail Safety Commissioner has also visited for safety check. Operation will be started as soon as the green signal is received from CMRS.
According to Metro officials, if everything goes as per plan, Metro train operations are likely to start on this corridor by August 20. In Metro Phase 4, Janakpuri West to RK Ashram is an extension line of the existing Magenta Line (Botanical Garden to Janakpuri West).
On this corridor, Janakpuri to Krishna Park Extension will be the first part of the 65.10 km long three corridors approved in Metro Phase 4, on which operations will begin. This part of about two and a half kilometers is underground. With the construction of this corridor, the colonies around Krishna Park Extension will be directly connected to the metro. Since Janakpuri West is an interchange station, people will be able to connect to other metro corridors from here.
Metro officials said that before the operation, the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) inspects it. During this, the signal system, safety arrangements, systems connected to the control room and the speed of the metro are also inspected. CMRS has already inspected Janakpuri West to Krishna Park Extension. Now we are waiting for the green signal from them.
