New Traffic Rules: Warning for bike and scooter riders! New traffic rules are being implemented from September 1..

The government is preparing to take strict action against scooter and bike riders only. Anyone who drives a two-wheeler without a helmet while riding a scooter or bike with a pillion rider will have to pay a hefty fine. This rule will be applicable in Visakhapatnam city.

New traffic rules: If you have a two-wheeler and travel from home to office and office to home by riding it daily, then this news is for you. Actually, a new rule is going to be implemented in Visakhapatnam, a big city of South Indian state Andhra Pradesh. Now, while driving a scooter or bike, the person sitting behind will have to wear a helmet in all circumstances. Under the Motor Vehicle Act, it is mandatory to wear a helmet while travelling on a scooter sitting behind, but it is not followed in most parts of the country.

After the order of the High Court, now from September 1, the people sitting behind on the scooter in Visakhapatnam will have to wear a helmet. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing road accidents in the city. Visakhapatnam District Collector, District Road Safety Committee Chairman Harendheera Prasad and City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi recently held a meeting. He said that if you do not follow these rules, then you may have to face problems.

Visakhapatnam police says that those who violate the rules will be fined Rs 1035. The license of those who break the rules can also be suspended for three months. Instructions were also given regarding the quality of helmets. It was told that only helmets with ISI mark should be worn, otherwise strict action will be taken. Let us tell you that in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, the rule of wearing helmets by pillion riders on scooters and bikes is strictly enforced. In many cities, a challan is issued only for not wearing a helmet to the driver driving a two-wheeler.
