IMD predicted heavy rains in these states, know IMD updates on weather

Weather Forecast Update: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area has formed in the northwest of the Bay of Bengal, which is spreading to the adjacent areas of West Bengal and Bangladesh. It is believed that this low pressure area can move in the west-northwest direction passing through Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand in the next 2-3 days. In such a situation, there will be an increase in rain activities.

IMD Alert Weather Forecast: Due to the active southwest monsoon in the western, northern and eastern parts of the country, these days Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gujarat, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR are receiving light to moderate and at some places heavy rainfall. Torrential rains have also been recorded in the northeastern states. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in some states.

In fact, a low pressure area has developed in the Bay of Bengal, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rains in the eastern states. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area has formed in the northwest of the Bay of Bengal, which is spreading to the adjacent areas of West Bengal and Bangladesh. It is believed that this low pressure area may move in the west-northwest direction passing through Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand in the next 2-3 days. In such a situation, there will be an increase in rain activities.

IMD said in its forecast that due to the formation of low pressure and cyclonic system, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Odisha and some adjacent areas. In such a situation, the government and administration have been alerted. People living in Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and adjacent areas are being advised to stay updated with the weather forecasts and take precautions.

Heavy rain likely in Odisha, Bengal and Jharkhand

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the formation of a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains occurred in some parts of Odisha on Friday. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in some parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar in 2-3 days. The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) of Odisha said that heavy to very heavy rains are likely at some places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj and Kendrapara and low-lying areas may get inundated.

How is the weather system in the country?

At the same time, according to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the monsoon trough at sea level is now passing through Ganganagar, Delhi, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Gaya, Bankura, Digha and from there east-southeast wards to the east central Bay of Bengal. A cyclonic circulation lies over South Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level and tilting southwestwards with height.

Due to its effect, a low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of West Bengal. Which may move in west northwest direction over Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand during the next 2 to 3 days. Skymet has predicted light to moderate rains with heavy rains at some places over West Rajasthan, Telangana and Odisha during the next 24 hours.

Light rain at some places and heavy rain at others

At the same time, Haryana, East Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh may receive light to moderate rains with heavy rains at one or two places. Apart from this, light to moderate rains are expected in some parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat.
