GOVT Job: Opportunity to become Joint Secretary in the Ministry without giving UPSC exam, salary starts from 1.5 lakh

Recruitment will be done under lateral entry

UPSC has recently issued a lateral entry notification. And the most important thing in this notification is that this lateral entry is for employees working in the private sector and people working in international or multinational companies.

Now these people will become IAS without giving UPSC exam and can be appointed to the post of Joint Secretary in any ministry. Through lateral entry, selected candidates will get direct entry in different departments of different ministries of the central government.

What is the eligibility for recruitment?

According to the notification issued by UPSC, no employee working in the central government will be able to apply for recruitment. But employees working in the state government and union territories who are appointed on equivalent posts of the mentioned posts. They will be able to apply. Along with this, people working in public sector undertakings, autonomous bodies, universities, private companies, international and multinational companies will be able to apply under lateral entry.

Age limit and salary limit

People between the age of 40 to 55 years can apply for recruitment to the post of Joint Secretary. According to the Seventh Pay Commission, these people will be placed in the 14th pay level. Their total monthly income with DA will be Rs 2,70,000. Along with this, travelling allowance and house rent allowance will also be given.

People between 35 and 45 years of age can apply for the post of director and they will be placed on the 13th pay level. Their monthly income including DA will be Rs 2,30,000. On the other hand, people between 32 and 40 years of age can apply for the post of deputy secretary and they will be placed on the 12th pay level. They will be given a monthly salary of Rs 1,52,000 with DA.
