Saharanpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat Express will operate via Bareilly only. North Central Railway has cited the already high pressure of trains on the via Aligarh-Kanpur rail route.
The operation of Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express via Bareilly has started from March. The operation of Vande Bharat Express is proposed between Saharanpur-Prayagraj after Diwali. For this, the railway had surveyed the Saharanpur via Bareilly-Lucknow rail route and Saharanpur via Aligarh-Kanpur rail route. In this, Bareilly-Lucknow route has been proposed.
Correspondence also took place between the officials of North and North Central Railways regarding train operation. Three days ago, when Railway Board Chairman Jaya Verma Sinha visited Prayagraj, she also discussed with the officials about the operation of Vande Bharat Express. Railway officials say that Saharanpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat Express will be operated via Bareilly-Lucknow only.
If this train is operated from Saharanpur via Aligarh-Kanpur Central rail route, then the operation of many trains will be disrupted. Their time table will have to be changed. North Central Railway has said that there is already pressure of trains on the rail route.
Time table may come on December 1
Railways will release the new time table of trains on December 1. In this time table, the time table of Saharanpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat and Bareilly-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express will also be released. For the operation of both the trains, the railway is studying the time table of trains already running in all rail sections.
Senior DCM Aditya Gupta said that the operation of Saharanpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat Express and Bareilly-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express is proposed. The time table of trains of railway divisions coming on these routes is being studied. The time table of both the trains can be released by the end of December.
