Rainfall Alert: There will be heavy rain in Delhi for the next three days, IMD has issued a yellow alert

Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next three days in Delhi. During this period, light to moderate rain is expected. Strong winds with thunderstorms are expected on Monday and Tuesday. Pitampura recorded the highest rainfall of 70.5 mm. Heavy rain also occurred around Dhaula Kuan. The temperature has dropped due to the rain.

Yellow alert issued till Tuesday

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for three days from Sunday to Tuesday. Due to this, light to moderate rainfall may occur from Sunday to Tuesday. On Monday and Tuesday, winds may blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour with thunder.

Pitampura area received maximum rainfall

On Thursday night, Delhi received 4.3 mm rainfall. After this, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Pitampura received 70.5 mm rainfall, Ridge area received 37.6 mm rainfall, Delhi University received 37 mm rainfall, Pusa received 7 mm rainfall, Mayur Vihar received 3.5 mm rainfall and Aya Nagar received 0.4 mm rainfall. Heavy rainfall occurred between 8:30 am and 11:30 am. During this period, Pitampura received the maximum rainfall of 70 mm.

There was no alert in Dhaula Kuan, still there was heavy rain

There is no Meteorological Department centre near Dhaula Kuan, but there was heavy rain around it too. There was no alert for heavy rain here. 36.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Delhi University and 32.5 mm in Ridge area. The rainfall near Safdarjung is considered to be the average of Delhi, but there was no rainfall there. Director General of Meteorological Department M Mahapatra said that monsoon is still active. During this time, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in some pockets. There are many other reasons for this including local factors.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 31.2 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees Celsius less than normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius, which is normal. A day before this, the maximum temperature of Delhi was 36.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 26.6 degrees Celsius.
