Latest OTT Releases This Weekend: This weekend’s OTT line-up has many great movies and shows that are worth watching. From horror-comedies to entertaining and real-life stories, there is something for everyone this week. New web series, dramas and dark comedies are premiering on OTT platforms like Netflix, Jio Cinema, Amazon Prime, ZEE5, SonyLiv and Lionsgate Play. From the horror-comedy Munjya and the real story Kandahar Hijack to interesting new underworld movies and web series, all will be available on various OTT platforms. IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack (Netflix)
IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack premiered on Netflix on August 29. Starring Vijay Verma, the series tells the story of the horrific hijacking of IC-814 just 40 minutes after takeoff from Kathmandu on December 24, 1999. The flight, carrying around 180 passengers, was held hostage by terrorists for seven days. Apart from Verma, the series stars Arvind Swami, Dia Mirza, Pooja Gor, Patralekhaa, Amrita Puri, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Anupam Tripathi, Kanwaljit Singh, Divyendu Bhattacharya, Sushant Singh, Aditya Srivastava, Rajiv Thakur and Yashpal Sharma.
Munjya (Disney+ Hotstar)
The blockbuster film Munjya, inspired by Marathi folklore, is now available on Disney+ Hotstar. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the Bollywood film was released in June. It starred Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh and Sathyaraj. The film has grossed around Rs 125 crore worldwide. While the film was made on a budget of around ₹50 crore. Disney Plus Hotstar posted that Munjya is streaming. Hotstar wrote on Instagram that you remembered Munjya and he ran to find his Munni. Stay alert on all Munni.
Murshid (ZEE5)
The brilliant actor KK Menon is returning to OTT with a new series titled Murshid. The film is streaming on ZEE5 from today i.e. 30 August. The show is based on the underworld of Mumbai. It stars other actors like Zakir Hussain, Tanuj Virwani and Rajesh Shringarpure.
Interrogation (ZEE-5)
Starring Darshan Jariwala, Rajpal Yadav, Girish Kulkarni and Yashpal Sharma, Interrogation is a murder mystery. The film is quite spectacular, which will keep you glued to your seat. The film is directed by Ajay Verma Raja.
