New courses will be added every year.
At the same time, sources say that compared to the campus of Southampton University located in Britain, the tuition fees in the Indian campus will be about 40 percent less and the admission process will be the same. In the next few years, this university will admit more than 5 thousand students. These will include both graduation and post-graduation courses.
Studies will start from July 2025
The central government has handed over the Letter of Intent to the representatives of the university in this regard. Studies will start in the University of Southampton Delhi-NCR from July 2025. Courses from many streams including business management, computing, law, engineering will be taught here. Southampton University has decided to start a branch campus in Gurugram. This foreign university will add BSc Software Engineering, BSc Creative Computing, MSc Economics courses in 2026 and LLB Law and B. Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) courses will be added in the third year.
It is expected that the university will release the rest of the details including the prospectus by the end of this year to start the session from next year. However, the application process is likely to start from next year itself.
