School Holidays 2024: Good news for students, holidays declared, schools will remain closed for these many days

In September, there will be holidays on Sundays i.e. 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th September. 14th and 28th September will be the second and fourth Saturdays, hence many schools will remain closed on these days too.

School Holiday 2024: There is relief news for school students. The Telangana government has announced a holiday for Ganesh Chaturthi on September 7 and Milad-un-Nabi on September 16. Eid-e-Milad holiday is mentioned in the state calendar, but it may change depending on the sighting of the crescent, that is, there may be a holiday on September 17 instead of 16. Here, schools will remain closed due to Sunday, September 8.

In Dhanbad district, there will be a holiday in government schools due to Teej on September 6, Jiutiya on September 25, Durga Puja Saptami on October 9, Diwali on November 1 and Chhath on November 6. On receiving the order of the DC, DEO Nishu Kumari and DSE Ayush Kumar have jointly issued the order. Let us tell you that out of a total of 60 days, 55 days holiday has been issued by the state headquarters.

Schools will remain closed for so many days from September to December in UP

As per the Holiday Calendar 2024 issued by the UP School Education Department during the academic session 2023-24, schools will remain closed on 16 September (Monday) on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad

Vishwakarma Puja / Anant Chaturdashi is on 17 September (Tuesday), so there may be a holiday in some schools of Uttar Pradesh on this day as well.

However, this is a restricted holiday.

  • Schools will remain closed on Gandhi Jayanti 2 October, Vijay Dashami 12 October, Narak Chaturdashi 30 October and Diwali 31 October.
  • Govardhan Puja 2 November, Bhai Dooj: 3 November, Guru Nanak Jayanti 15 November, Guru Teg Bahadur Jayanti 24 November and due to Christmas, schools will also remain closed on 25 December 2024 (Wednesday).

There will be many holidays in September too

  • In September, there will be holidays on 8, 15, 22, and 29 September due to Sunday. 14 and 28 will be the second and fourth Saturdays, so many schools will be closed on these days too.
  • Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 07 September Saturday, so holidays can be announced in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, MP, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
  • Eid e Milad Barawafat is on 16 September, so there will be a public holiday. Apart from these holidays, there will be some local and regional holidays as well.
  • In Bihar, there will be holidays on Teej on 6 and 7 September, Anant Chaturthi on 17 September and Jiutiya festival on 25 September.
