Actually, last week the Maharashtra government extended the Eid-e-Milad holiday in Mumbai from September 16, 2024 to September 18, 2024 due to Ganesh immersion. After which the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said, “The public holiday of September 16, 2024 announced earlier has been canceled.” According to the press release issued by the central bank, “The Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday on September 18, 2024 under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.” In such a situation, all banks will remain closed in Maharashtra on Wednesday, September 18. Apart from this, banks are going to remain closed in Sikkim for Pang-Lahabsol.
