- Gold bars weighing 20 grams to 100 grams attract a customs duty of 3 per cent.
- Gold bars weighing less than 20 grams attract a customs duty of 10 per cent.
- Gold coins weighing 20 grams to 100 grams attract a customs duty of 10 per cent.
- Gold coins weighing less than 20 grams attract a customs duty of 10 per cent.
If a passenger brings gold jewellery weighing not more than 20 grams and worth less than Rs 50,000, there is no customs duty on it.
