New Delhi. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for the next month i.e. October 2024. In such a situation, it would be better if you check the list of bank holidays before going to the branch for the work left for January. According to this list, banks will be closed for a total of 15 days in October.

Out of the total 15 days of bank holidays in October, 4 holidays are on Sundays. Many of these holidays are going to fall consecutively. Let us tell you that banks will not be closed for 15 days across the country. According to the list of holidays given on the official website of RBI, these holidays are in different states. All these holidays will not be applicable in all states. At the same time, according to the guidelines of RBI, apart from Sunday, banks will be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

6 October- Weekly holiday (Sunday).
10 October- Maha Saptami
11 October- Mahanavami
12 October- Dussehra and second Saturday
13 October- Weekly holiday (Sunday)
14 October- Durga Puja (Dasin) and Dussehra in Gangtok
16 October- Laxmi Puja (Agartala, Kolkata)
17 October- Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti
20 October- Weekly holiday (Sunday)
26 October- Merger Day (Jammu and Kashmir) and fourth Saturday
27 October- Weekly holiday (Sunday)
31 October- Narak Chaturdashi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti and Deepawali
