Whereas, for other pensioners this process starts from November 1.
What is Jeevan Pramaan?
Jeevan Pramaan is a digital certificate, which is prepared through Aadhar card and biometric (fingerprint or eye scanning). This certificate eliminates the need for pensioners to go to the pension department every year to prove that they are alive. It can be submitted online and is valid under the Information Technology Act. This facility is easy for elderly pensioners. So that, they do not have any problem in the pension process.
Last date to submit life certificate
Senior pensioners aged 80 years and above can submit their life certificate from October 1, 2024. Other pensioners will start submitting it from November 1. Usually its last date is November 30. However, the government can also extend it.
What will happen if the life certificate is not submitted on time?
If pensioners do not submit the life certificate by November 30, their December and further pension will be stopped. Later whenever the life certificate is submitted. After that, as soon as it is updated in the pension system, the full pension and outstanding amount will be available in the next payment. If the life certificate is not submitted for three years or more, the approval of the concerned authorities will be required to resume the pension.
