Free LPG cylinder: Before Diwali, the Uttar Pradesh government is going to give a big gift to women. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced through his post that on this Diwali, all the beneficiaries of ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana’ will be given free LPG cylinders. Along with this, he has ordered the officials to make all the arrangements before Diwali. So that all the beneficiaries can get its benefits on time.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given this information by sharing a post. CM Yogi wrote in his post, on the occasion of Diwali, free LPG cylinders are to be distributed to all the beneficiaries of ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana’.
What is the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme?
This scheme was started by the government to provide gas to women in every house in the village. So that women can easily cook food on gas. In fact, even today women in many houses of the village are deprived of many facilities and they are forced to cook food on the stove, due to which they get many types of lung and respiratory diseases. Many women also have many types of eye problems due to smoke. To overcome this problem, the government started the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Women will be saved from diseases
Actually, till a few years ago, food was cooked only on chulhas in the villages. Due to which women’s health was adversely affected. Chulhas and coal-fired sigris gave many diseases to women. To get rid of this problem, the central government started the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

- Here you have to go to the home page and choose the download option.
- Here you will see forms in many languages, choose the form as per your convenience.
- Apart from this, you can also get this form from the LPG center.
- After this, take a print out of the form and fill in all the information.
- You will also have to submit the necessary documents along with the form.
- You will have to submit the form at the nearest LPG center.
- After document verification, you will get a free gas connection.
Who will get the benefit of the scheme?
- The beneficiary woman should be more than 18 years of age.
- The beneficiary woman should not already have any LPG connection.
- Also, the beneficiary should be from a BPL family.
- The beneficiary woman should be below the poverty line.

When was this scheme started?
