SBI extended the time limit of famous special FD, know till when you can invest

State Bank of India (SBI) has extended the deadline for its special fixed deposit schemes – Amrit Kalash and Amrit Vrishti till the end of the financial year. Earlier this scheme was applicable till 30 September but now it will continue till 31 March 2025.

New Delhi: State Bank of India (SBI) has extended the deadline for its special fixed deposit schemes – Amrit Kalash and Amrit Vrishti till the end of the financial year. Earlier the scheme was applicable till September 30 but now it will continue till March 31, 2025.

SBI’s Amrit Kalash scheme offers 7.10% interest rate for a period of 400 days while Amrit Vrishti scheme offers 7.25% interest for 444 days. Senior citizens will get an additional 50 basis points benefit on these schemes.

The new 444-day scheme was launched on July 15, 2024, just weeks after the RBI directed bank chiefs to reduce the gap between deposit and credit growth in early June.

This is a golden opportunity for investors as the increased interest rates will help them get better returns. If you are thinking of investing in these schemes, then you have time till 31 March 2025 as per your convenience.

How can you invest

Investment in SBI’s ‘Amrit Vrishti’ scheme will have to be locked for a certain period. This will give maximum returns to investors. If you also want to invest in this scheme, then you can invest by visiting the branch of State Bank of India or through the bank’s mobile L SBI and Yono Lite or internet banking. Investment in ‘Amrit Vrishti’ FD scheme can be done both online and offline.
