Only one train is being operated from Siwan to Patna
Siwan Junction of North Eastern Railway is an important station. This junction is also important because passengers from Gopalganj district also start and end their journey from here, but there is a severe lack of facilities here. The biggest problem is faced by the passengers going from Siwan to the state capital Patna. The reason is that the railway line was started four years ago to go from Siwan to Patna.
With this, the journey from Siwan to Patliputra station is direct, but no train runs from Siwan to Patna. With the opening of the railway line, a passenger train was started from Gorakhpur to Patliputra station, but was later stopped.
After a few days, a superfast train was also started from Lucknow to Patliputra station. In this way, the journey from Siwan to Patna is being done by just one train. In this, the superfast express arrives at Siwan junction at 11:50 am and reaches Patliputra at 2:50 pm, while this train departs from Patliputra at 3:50 pm and reaches Siwan at 6:15 pm.
At least a dozen trains from Siwan or via Siwan are required for Patliputra station, only then will the travel of Siwan people to Patna become easy and they will not have to wait for trains to go to or come from Patna.
