IMD Alert: Heavy rain alert in these states including Andhra Pradesh, know the condition of your state

The maximum temperature can be 33 to 34 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 18 to 20 degrees. After Diwali, cold will be felt in Delhi-NCR. The effect of winter is not visible in the plains of North India so far. Thunderstorms are expected in some parts of Andhra Pradesh for the next 3 days from Friday. The Meteorological Department said that thunderstorms are expected in different parts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP) and Yanam between October 23 and 27. Issuing the weather forecast for October 25, the Meteorological Department said in a release, “Heavy rains are likely at isolated places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.” Parts of Rayalaseema are likely to receive thunderstorms on October 23 and 24.

Coastal areas of Odisha received heavy rains and gusty winds on Thursday morning and the sea condition remained rough as Cyclone ‘Dana’ approached the state’s coast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information. The IMD said that Cyclone ‘Dana’ is likely to hit Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra port in Odisha early Friday and the wind speed can be up to 120 kmph during this time. Cyclone ‘Dana’, formed over the Bay of Bengal, moved north-northwestwards at a speed of 12 kmph during the last six hours and at 5.30 am it was about 260 km southeast of Paradip (Odisha), 290 km south-southeast of Dhamra (Odisha) and 350 km south of Sagar Island (West Bengal).

Heavy rain expected in many areas of Andhra Pradesh

Heavy rains have been predicted in the northern coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh due to the severe cyclonic storm ‘Dana’ in the Bay of Bengal. Officials said that the effect of cyclonic storm ‘Dana’ is also visible in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management Authority (APDMA) has advised people to remain alert and take necessary precautions in view of the strong winds. In fact, due to the severe cyclonic storm, the northern coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh are cloudy. Strong winds are blowing in the coastal areas of Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. Officials of the Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management Authority have asked fishermen not to go into the sea in view of the strong winds. They have issued an alert at Krishnapatnam, Machilipatnam, Kakinada, Gangavaram, Visakhapatnam, Kalingapatnam and Nizampatnam ports.

Heavy rain expected in many parts of Jharkhand

Due to the effect of cyclonic storm ‘Dana’, many parts of Jharkhand may receive heavy to very heavy rains from Thursday night. A Meteorological Department official gave this information. He said that an ‘orange’ alert has been issued for Friday in the Kolhan region (West Singhbhum, Saraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum district). The official said that this category of warning indicates heavy rainfall ranging from 115 mm to 204 mm in 24 hours. Abhishek Anand, in-charge of Ranchi Meteorological Center, said, ‘Apart from heavy rain, there may be thunderstorms in the area and strong winds with a speed of 60 kmph can also blow.’
