The alignment of the greenfield expressway being built to connect Vrindavan’s Banke Bihari temple to Yamuna Expressway has been changed. Now it will start from 102.1 km instead of 101 km. This will make the journey to Vrindavan easier.

The alignment of the greenfield expressway being built to connect Vrindavan’s Banke Bihari temple to Yamuna Expressway has been changed. Now it will start from 102.1 km instead of 101 km. This will make the journey to Vrindavan easier.

The 7 km long road coming parallel to Yamuna Expressway from the proposed NH-44 of National Highways Authority of India will also be connected to both the expressways. Green Field Expressway will be connected through a loop. This will also benefit the people coming from Faridabad.

The Green Field Expressway will now be constructed by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways instead of Yamuna Authority. This important decision was taken in the meeting of Braj Vikas Parishad. However, no change has been made in the area of Raaya Heritage City to be settled in 753 acres along the Green Field Expressway.

It has been decided that the 6.9 km long and 6 lane expressway to be built from 102.1 km will be constructed by the Central Government. This expressway will come from Faridabad on the other side of Yamuna (on the left side when going from Greater Noida) and cross the expressway and connect to Yamuna Expressway. Its total length will be about 14 km. It will be 7 km on one side of Yamuna and 7 km on the other side of Yamuna. The amount for its construction has been allocated.

Let us tell you that earlier the Green Field Expressway was to be constructed by Yamuna Authority. According to the authority official, where the Green Field Expressway ends, there is an area of 1.5 acres vacant, which is a submerged area. An elevated road will be built here. The elevated road will connect to the bridge being built on Yamuna. Along with this, Yamuna Authority is a partner in half of the construction of 21 meter wide cable bridge and 60 meter wide road.

20 meter high statues of Krishna and Balram will be installed at the entrance

Yamuna Authority will prepare the gateway of Vrindavan. 20 meter high statues of Lord Krishna and Balram will be installed at the cut leading to Vrindavan. It has been said in the meeting of Braj Vikas Parishad that the Ministry of Road and Highways of the Government of India, which is building the road, should beautify it by installing these statues, because after the construction of Greenfield Expressway, Raya Cut will have no meaning. The council has not yet given its consent.

Yamuna Authority CEO Arunvir Singh said, “The alignment of the greenfield expressway to be built to connect Vrindavan’s Banke Bihari temple to the Yamuna Expressway has been changed. Now it will start from 102.1 km. The road coming from NH-44 is joining here. The Greenfield Expressway will be constructed by the Union Road Transport Ministry.”
