Public sector bank has changed the interest rates of FD. Ordinary citizens are getting 6.80% interest on one year FD.
Bank FD Rates: Union Bank of India is one of the famous public sector banks of the country. The bank has changed the interest rates of fixed deposits. Interest rates for FDs less than Rs 3 crore have become effective. The bank is also offering 0.50% extra interest to senior citizens. Super senior citizens are getting 0.75% extra interest.
The bank is offering 3.5% to 7.30% interest to general citizens on deposits ranging from 7 days to 10 years. The interest rate for senior citizens is 4% to 7.80%. The highest return is being given on FDs of 456 days.

Attractive interest is also being given on FDs of less than one year. The bank is offering 7% interest to general citizens and 7.50% interest to senior citizens on special FDs of 333 days. On tenures ranging from 181 days to less than 332 days, general citizens are getting 6.35% interest and senior citizens are getting 6.85% interest. On tenures of one year, general citizens are getting 6.80% interest.
