Paid holiday has been declared for factory workers and government office employees in the places where voting is to take place for assembly elections and by-elections.
Employees Paid Holiday: There is important news for the employees of Chhattisgarh. Due to the assembly elections in the neighboring state of Jharkhand on 13th and 20th November 2024, paid leave has been declared for the employees working in private or public establishments/shops, industrial undertakings or business/profession in Balrampur district.
As per the order of the Chhattisgarh Government Labor Department, Collector Remigius Ekka has declared the day of voting as a paid holiday in the approval of paid leave on the day of polling to every such employed/working worker/employee under Section 135 B of the Representation of the People, 1951. Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Gaurav Singh has approved paid leave to the employees on the day of polling of Assembly Constituency No. 51 on the polling date of November 13 for the Raipur South Assembly by-election.
Employees and workers will also get paid leave in these cities
Chief Election Officer of Jharkhand K. Ravi Kumar has instructed the employers of all industrial, commercial establishments and all institutions to give paid leave to all their employees and daily labourers to vote on the polling day on 13th and 20th November. Workers will also get paid leave on polling day in Bokaro.
Workers living in Chhattisgarh of Jharkhand and Maharashtra will also get paid leave on polling day. Voting will be held on 13th and 20th November in Jharkhand and on 20th November in Maharashtra. All such working workers employed in private or public establishments, shops, industrial undertakings or business and profession of the state have also been instructed to get paid leave on the polling day in their home state.
In view of the Khinvsar assembly by-election, Nagaur District Election Officer Arun Kumar Purohit has declared paid holiday on polling day on 13th November. Under this, there will be paid leave for workers working in offices, private and public establishments, shopkeepers, industrial undertakings or business / profession.
Voters of the assembly constituency related to the by-election being held in various districts of Rajasthan and working in Nagaur district will also be given paid leave on the polling day on applying.
According to Section 135 (b) of the Representation of the People Act 1951 for Ramgarh Assembly by-election-2024, on polling day 13 November, every person employed in any business, business, industrial undertaking or any other establishment who is entitled to vote in the election for Ramgarh Assembly will be granted paid leave on the day of polling.
On the polling day of the assembly by-election on November 13, MNREGA workers will have paid leave under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme of Jhunjhunu Assembly constituency. This order has been issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Kailash Chandra.
