Digital life certificate: Every year in November, lakhs of pensioners submit their life certificates. The government has provided many options to pensioners to submit life certificates, with the help of which pensioners can now submit life certificates from home without any hassle. Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is a biometric enabled Aadhaar-based digital life certificate for pensioners. Jeevan Pramaan i.e. DLC is created for the individual pensioner using their Aadhaar number and biometrics.
What to do if the life certificate is rejected
If your life certificate is rejected, then for this you have to contact your pension disbursing agency. The certificate can be rejected in case the pensioner provides wrong details while generating DLC. Therefore, a new certificate i.e. Pramaan-ID can be generated by providing all the correct information and biometrics.
You do not need to submit DLC to Jeevan Pramaan Bank, Post Office, Pension Disbursing Agency. DLC is automatically available to them electronically. The Digital Life Certificate is valid for one year. You have to submit it every year in November.
Easiest way to submit
Pensioners can submit their life certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan portal. Pensioners need to download the Jeevan Pramaan app from the portal. Apart from this, a pensioner has to submit his/her fingerprint using the tool required by UIDAI.
One can use an OTG cable to connect the fingerprint reader to the smartphone. There is a list of UIDAI-mandated devices on the Jeevan Pramaan website. Download the PC/mobile application to get yourself registered or alternatively visit the nearest Jeevan Pramaan center. Android users can download the Jeevan Pramaan app from Playstore.
