School Holiday 2024: There is relief news for school students. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has ordered the closure of schools up to class 12th from November 19. All classes will run online. Out of the NCR districts, the administration has decided to close schools up to class 12th in Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Noida.
Due to increasing pollution, on the instructions of the Haryana Director of Secondary Education, all classes up to class 12 will be suspended in Gurugram district from 19 to 23 November. The Deputy Commissioner has been given the right to temporarily close schools up to class 5. At present, it has been decided to keep the primary schools of Gurgaon, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rohtak closed. Karnal DC Uttam Singh has ordered a holiday in all private and government schools up to class 5.
Schools closed in these states too
On November 20, schools will remain closed due to by-elections on nine assembly seats of UP, Karhal, Sisamau, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Phulpur, Majhawan, Katehari, Khair and Meerapur.
Holidays have been declared in all government, semi-government and private schools up to class 5 in Panipat from November 18 till further orders.
All schools up to class 12 in Hapur will also remain closed today on November 19. Schools will remain closed in Meerut till further orders.
Due to increasing pollution, the District Magistrate in Gautam Buddha Nagar has ordered closure of schools till November 23. It has been decided to run all classes online.
All classes up to class 5 will remain closed from November 19 to 23 in all areas (urban and rural) of Bhiwani. Online classes will be conducted in place of physical classes in all government and private schools of district Bhiwani.
All schools have been closed on November 19 after the violence in Manipur Valley.
By-elections are going to be held in Barnala, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and Sri Muktsar Sahib districts of Punjab on 20 November, so a holiday has been declared in the schools here.
On 20 November, elections are to be held on 38 assembly seats in Jharkhand and 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra and by-elections are to be held on 9 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Punjab, and 1 seat each in Kerala and Uttarakhand. By-election will also be held on Nanded parliamentary seat of Maharashtra, so a holiday has been declared in the schools of these districts.
Winter holidays in MP from December to January
The Mohan government of Madhya Pradesh has declared a 6-day winter holiday in all private and government schools. There will be a winter holiday in schools from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025, but after this there is a Sunday holiday on 5 January. Therefore, students and teachers will get 6 consecutive days of holidays. The operation of schools will start from Monday 6 January.
