Rainfall Alert: There will be heavy rain in these states till November 27 amid cold, IMD warns

Rain Alert, Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rains in Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal on 21 and 25 November, Kerala, Mahe on 25 November.

Rain Alert: Even though cold has started in North India, the rain is still continuing in South India. The Meteorological Department has said that a low pressure area is going to form in the Bay of Bengal, due to which many states will receive heavy rain in the coming days. At the same time, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in southern Tamil Nadu, southern Kerala today. Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, heavy to very heavy rain occurred in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. At the same time, dense fog was recorded in eastern UP.

According to the Meteorological Department, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal will receive heavy rains on 21 and 25 November, Kerala, Mahe on 25 November. At the same time, rain will continue in Andaman and Nicobar Islands this week. Rain alert has been issued for 21 and 22 November in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura. At the same time, Tamil Nadu will receive heavy to very heavy rains on 21, 25-27, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam on 26 and 27 November. Nicobar Islands will receive heavy rains on 21-24 November, Kerala, Mahe on 21, 26 and 27 November, Rayalaseema on 26 and 27 November. The Meteorological Department has forecast that there is also a possibility of hailstorm in Manipur on 21 and Meghalaya on 21 and 22 November.

Talking about cold, dense fog will prevail in eastern Uttar Pradesh from the night of 21 to the morning of 22. Apart from this, dense fog will be seen in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh from the night of 22 to the morning of 24, Himachal Pradesh from the night of 23 to the morning of 26 November. Moderate fog will prevail in North India for the next two days.

At present, the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR is between 24-27 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is being recorded between 8 to 12 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is close to the average, while the minimum temperature is running one to two degrees below the average.
