IMD issued alert of heavy rain and snowfall with temperature falling up to 4 degrees.

IMD Weather: According to the IMD forecast, there is a possibility of rain in northern Kerala, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep. After the rain, the weather in these states can change rapidly.

IMD Weather Forecast Update: The low pressure area over coastal Karnataka and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea has moved westward. It is located over east-central Arabian Sea and coastal Karnataka. The cyclonic circulation associated with it extends up to the mid-troposphere. It may move towards west-northwest direction during the next 2 days. It is likely to remain intense for the next 24 hours and then gradually weaken. Due to this, there are chances of heavy rains in the areas.

At the same time, a new western disturbance can affect the western Himalayan region from the night of 7 December and the plains of North-West India from 8 December. Due to this, light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected in the western Himalayan region from 7-9 December. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected in some areas of North-West India on 8 December.

According to the IMD forecast, there are chances of rain in North Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep. After the rain, the weather can change rapidly in these states.

The minimum temperature in the plains of North-West India is likely to be 10-15℃. At the same time, it is likely to be 15-20℃ in Central India, Gujarat, Maharashtra and East India. The temperature in Maharashtra can be 5℃ higher than normal. At the same time, the temperature in Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim is likely to be 1-3℃ lower than normal.

Let us tell you that in the plains of the country, Bathinda (Punjab) recorded the lowest temperature of 8.0℃.

Temperature will fall by 4 degrees

There is going to be no major change in the minimum temperature in North-West, Central and East India as well as Maharashtra for the next 2 days. After this, there is a possibility of a drop of 2-4℃ in 3 days. In Gujarat too, there is a possibility of an increase of 2-3℃ in the next 3 days and then a drop of 3-4℃.

The Meteorological Department says that the sky is likely to remain clear during the next 3-4 days. During this time there will be fog in the morning and night.
