Under the new rule, Tatkal ticket booking for AC class will start at 10 am, while for non-AC class this process will start from 11 am. How to book Tatkal ticket
To book Tatkal tickets, passengers must first create an account on the IRCTC website. After creating an account, log in and go to the ‘Plan My Journey’ section and fill in travel related information such as departure and arrival stations, date of travel etc. Select the Tatkal option in the ‘Booking’ tab and select the train and class (AC or non-AC) of your choice. After this, enter the details of the passengers such as name, age and identity card. Valid ID proof like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card or Passport is mandatory to be presented at the time of booking.
No refund on confirmed Tatkal tickets
To make the payment process faster and convenient, you can use credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking or digital wallet. After successful payment, ticket information will be sent via SMS and email. However, it is important to note that there will be no refund on confirmed Tatkal tickets, unless the train is cancelled.
