Police officials say that the rule of reducing the speed limit has been implemented only on the Yamuna Expressway from Sunday, a meeting will be held on Monday regarding the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

DCP Traffic Lakhan Yadav said that a decision will be taken in this matter after a meeting on Monday. In such a situation, it is expected that the speed limit of vehicles will be reduced here from Monday or Tuesday itself.

Traffic police officials said that in view of the fog, the speed limit will be reduced on six roads of the city including Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, MP Two Elevated Road. The speed limit for light vehicles (four wheelers) on the expressway will be reduced from 100 to 75 kilometers. For heavy vehicles, it will be reduced from 80 to 60 kilometers per hour. He said that on the elevated road located at MP Two, the speed will be fixed at 50 for light vehicles and 40 kilometers per hour for heavy vehicles.

Apart from Master Plan Road No. 1 (DND Toll Plaza to Sector-57 Square), 2 (Sector-18 to Sector-60 Underpass), 3 (Kalindi Kunj to Sector-122) and Road No. 6 (Sector-62 Model Town Roundabout to Sector-71 Underpass), the speed of vehicles will also be reduced on DSC (Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera) Road. The speed will be reduced from 80 to 60 kmph at these places. Apart from this, the same arrangement will be in place on all the 75 meter wide roads. On Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, challans are being issued through cameras to those who break the speed limit. Till now, the speed limit for light vehicles is 100 kmph. Now the cameras will be set at 75 kmph. 177 cameras are installed on the expressway.

Speed ​​limit on expressway will be reduced for the third time

An order was received from the authority to reduce the speed recently.

Action on violation: According to the officials, a fine of Rs 2,000 will be imposed on light vehicles exceeding the speed limit. A fine of Rs 4,000 will be imposed on heavy vehicles.
