Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for cold wave in Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh, Nagaur and Sri Ganganagar today. Apart from this, an orange alert has been issued for severe cold in Churu and Sikar.
Weather Update: The outbreak of severe cold continues in Rajasthan. A drop in temperature is being seen in most parts of the state. Due to which the normal life is getting affected. People are leaving their homes late. They go back home as soon as evening falls. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state remained dry on Tuesday. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh, Dungarpur. Apart from this, the average amount of humidity in the air was recorded between 35 to 55 percent in most parts of the state.
According to the forecast report of the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.0 degrees in Ajmer, 23.4 degrees in Bhilwara, 23.4 degrees in Jaipur, 22.5 degrees in Sikar, 23.3 degrees in Kota, 26.7 degrees in Chittorgarh, 25.4 degrees in Barmer, 22.7 degrees in Jaisalmer, 25.7 degrees in Jodhpur, 21.2 degrees in Bikaner, 21.5 degrees in Churu, 22.2 degrees in Sri Ganganagar and 23.4 degrees Celsius in Mount Abu.

According to the forecast report of the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.2 degrees in Ajmer, 6.6 degrees in Bhilwara, 8.6 degrees in Jaipur, 2.8 degrees in Sikar, 7.6 degrees in Kota, 7.4 degrees in Chittorgarh, 9.7 degrees in Barmer, 7.1 degrees in Jaisalmer, 11.4 degrees in Jodhpur, 5.0 degrees in Bikaner, 1.8 degrees in Churu, 5.9 degrees in Sri Ganganagar, 3.8 degrees Celsius in Mount Abu.

According to the department, there is a possibility of a slight drop in the minimum temperature after the next 24 hours due to the effect of a weak western disturbance. There is a strong possibility of the ongoing cold wave and sometimes extreme cold wave in the state continuing in the next 45 days as well. There is a possibility of dense fog in some places in the morning in Kota and Bharatpur divisions from December 20. Apart from this, there is a strong possibility of the weather in the state remaining mainly dry for the next one week.
