Vande Bharat sleeper Train: Indian Railways is preparing to run 2 special trains for Jammu and Kashmir. It is being told that there is a plan to increase connectivity with Kashmir in the coming months. Under this, a special sleeper train will be run between New Delhi and Srinagar. This will be a centrally heated train, through which you will be able to cover this distance in 13 hours. On this route, the train will also pass through snow-covered mountains. Also, you will get the experience of the train passing through Chenab Bridge, which is the world’s highest railway arch bridge.
Sources said that you will get great comfort in this train going from New Delhi to Srinagar, but the facility of second class sleeper coach will not be provided. Earlier it was believed that this Vande Bharat sleeper train will also go through Kashmir, but at present it does not seem to be happening. As far as the Katra-Baramula route is concerned, a Vande Bharat train with 8 coaches will be run for this, in which chair car seating facility will be available. This information has been given in the TOI report quoting a senior railway official.
Vande Bharat train equipped with special features
The Vande Bharat Express which will be run for Jammu and Kashmir will have some special features. It will have silicon heating pads for the water tank to prevent freezing. Toilets will have the facility of warm air circulation. It is known that with the running of Vande Bharat train, three and a half hours will be saved in covering the 246 km distance between Katra-Baramula. Currently, it takes 10 hours to cover the distance between these two cities by bus. Baramula railway station is located 57 km away from Srinagar. In this way, soon the people of Jammu and Kashmir are going to get a big gift from the Indian Railways. This will increase the convenience of transportation and will give new wings to development.
