A rule has changed for traveling by flight. If you reach the airport without knowing about it, then you may have to face trouble. Actually, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has changed the hand bag policy.
What is the new hand bag policy
Due to the new hand bag policy, airline companies will also be strict on their passengers. According to these new rules, passengers will now be able to carry only one hand bag inside the flight.
This rule will be applicable on both domestic and international flights. Passengers traveling in premium or economy class of the flight will be able to carry only one cabin bag weighing 7 kg.
Slight exemption for business class
According to the rules of the airlines, the height of the cabin bag should not exceed 55 cm, length 40 cm and width 20 cm. However, the limit for business class passengers will be up to 10 kg.
These passengers will also get exemption
This new hand bag policy will give exemption to those passengers who booked their tickets before May 2, 2024. Such passengers will get a limit of 8 kg in economy, 10 kg in premium economy and 12 kg in business class.
However, this exemption will be valid only for tickets booked before May 2, 2024. The rules of the new hand bag policy will apply to any booking after that date. You may have to pay for the extra weight.
