New Rapid Rail: 55 km journey will be completed in 40 minutes, check route and other details

Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail: Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail will now make the journey of railway passengers easier. NCRTC has claimed that now people will reach Anand Vihar from Meerut South (Partapur) station in just 38 to 40 minutes.

New Rapid Rail: Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail is soon going to reach Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar in the border of the national capital Delhi. NCRTC claims that now people will reach Anand Vihar in just 38 to 40 minutes from Meerut South (Partapur) station. In this way, Rapid Rail is going to reach the border of Delhi in the fourth phase, the official announcement of which is likely to be made in a few days. After this, in the fifth phase, Rapid will operate till Shatabdi Nagar in Meerut.

According to NCRTC officials, the first phase of the Rapid Rail Corridor from Sahibabad to Duhai was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 23 October 2023. In the second phase, the Rapid Rail service started from Duhai to Modinagar North on March 6, 2024 and then in the third phase, the service started from Modinagar North to Meerut South (Partapur) on August 18, 2024. Now in the fourth phase, the journey is going to be from Sahibabad to Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar.

According to the officials, as soon as the green signal is received from the high level, the rapid rail boundary will enter Delhi and reach Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar. This will be the fourth phase of rapid rail operation. After this, in the fifth phase, there are preparations to operate it till Shatabdinagar in Meerut.

Rapid is currently travelling in 42 km

At present, the rapid rail is travelling in a total distance of 42 km between Meerut South and Sahibabad. If the journey is made till Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar, the corridor of operation of the rapid will become 55 km. It is claimed that the journey of 55 km will be completed in 38 to 40 minutes, which is currently being completed in 27 to 30 minutes between Meerut South and Sahibabad.
