IMD Alert: There will be heavy rain in these states for the next 5 days, know the weather update

IMD Weather Forecast: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a major change in the weather in the next few days in entire North India including Delhi-NCR. According to the IMD, two new western disturbances are becoming active, the effect of which will be visible in the hilly and plain areas. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 22 and 23 January.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar has given information about the effect of two active western disturbances in North India. He told about the possibility of rain, snowfall and fog in the coming days. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayas, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the next five days. Light rain may occur in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR and North Rajasthan on 22 and 23 January.

Fog situation

Dense and very dense fog will prevail in Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for 2-3 days. There will be light to moderate fog in Delhi-NCR. The morning temperature in Delhi-NCR will be normal and there will be no cold wave. At the same time, the temperature will remain stable in North India, but the effect of fog will be seen in the morning. In many areas, the fog will be dense in the morning, where visibility may be limited to 50-200 meters.

Update regarding Maha Kumbh

On the question asked due to Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Naresh Kumar clarified that no alert has been issued. The weather will be normal, although there is a possibility of dense fog in the morning. Those participating in the Maha Kumbh have been advised to be cautious in the morning due to fog.

Please note that rail and air services may be affected due to fog. Drivers have been advised to be cautious in the morning and night. Tourists and locals traveling in hilly areas have been advised to be cautious. It is necessary to be cautious in these states of North India due to weather changes for the next 2-3 days.
