School Holiday 2025: Good news for school students of West Bengal and Telangana. School holidays have been declared in West Bengal and Telangana on 13 and 14 February 2025 for Shab-e-Barat and Panchanan Barma Jayanti. During this time all government offices and educational institutions will remain closed.
Usually there was a holiday on Shab-e-Barat on 14 February, but after the date of the festival was fixed as 13 February, a holiday was also fixed for that day. Thakur Panchanan Barma’s birth anniversary is on 14 February. Schools will remain closed on 16 February due to Sunday. Hyderabad, Haldwani and Nainital will also have a holiday on 14 February.
School Holiday: Holiday announced again in these states
- According to the holiday schedule of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council, there will be a holiday in schools on 26 February. On this day, there will be a public holiday in all places like banks, courts, government offices. This order has been issued for schools from class 1 to class 8.
- The Varanasi district administration has again declared a holiday in all schools up to class 8 in the urban area till February 14. During this time, classes of all council / government / aided and English / Hindi medium schools recognized / aided by (CBSE ICSC) and run by other boards will be conducted online. The examinations of Kashi Vidyapeeth have been postponed till February 15.
- Due to the huge crowd of devotees in Maha Kumbh, schools have once again been closed in Prayagraj. In the new order, holiday has been declared in schools from class 1 to 8 from February 13 to 15. Under the order, teachers will have to come to school. Classes 1-8 will be taught online in all government, aided and recognized schools.
- In view of the large crowd of devotees in Ayodhya Dham on Magh Purnima, Ayodhya District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh has announced to keep all schools from pre-primary to 12 closed till February 14. This order will be applicable to all government and non-government aided and private recognized schools in the Ayodhya Dham area of the Municipal Corporation of Ayodhya.
- On the instructions of Mirzapur District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, BSA Anil Kumar Verma has issued an order saying that students from nursery to class VIII will remain holiday till February 13 in all board schools of Sadar Tehsil.
Schools will remain closed for so many days in February
Schools will remain closed on 16th and 23rd February due to Sunday. Schools may remain closed in Maharashtra and some other states on 19th February due to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. Schools may remain closed in many states on 26th February due to Mahashivratri. All schools up to class 5 in Jammu and Kashmir are closed from 10th December 2024 and will remain closed till 28th February 2025. Schools from class 6 to 12th are closed from 16th December 2024 and will remain closed till 28th February 2025, in such a situation, schools will now open only in March.
