Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are likely at some places in interior Odisha during 17 March 2025. However, many parts will get relief due to rain. A western disturbance is also active near Haryana but its effect will not be seen much. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for eastern UP, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bengal.
Weather Update: The weather has changed a lot due to hailstorm in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand including Gorakhpur, Basti and rain in Assam and Kerala in the last 24 hours. Heat wave conditions are now likely to reduce in most parts of eastern India.
The Meteorological Department said that apart from these areas, hailstorm occurred in West Bengal and Sikkim in the last 24 hours. Very strong winds were seen in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya including Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Many states are facing heat wave
According to the Meteorological Department, states like Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Vidarbha and Telangana are going through heat wave conditions. However, in the coming days, it may reduce in other places apart from Odisha.
Moderate rain and strong winds with thunderstorms are expected in Northeast India within the next 5 days. At the same time, rain and snowfall can be seen at many places in Arunachal Pradesh.
Weather will be pleasant due to rain
Talking about East Central India, there is a possibility of rain along with thunder, lightning, strong wind and hailstorm during March 19 to 23. According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is active over Haryana, but no significant effect will be seen.
The temperature may increase by 3 to 5 degrees in the coming days in North West India. Talking about East India, there will be no change in temperature for the next 3 days. But after that there will be a drop of 2 to 4 degrees.
How will the weather be?
Weather will change due to rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh, northeastern states including Jharkhand and eastern part of India. However, on March 18, there will be rain in some states of the south including northeastern states and Odisha.
On March 19, there may be rain in most parts including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. At the same time, the weather will be at its peak on March 20-21. During this time, heavy rains may occur in UP, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh as well as some parts of Maharashtra.
