Bank Customer Alert- IFSC codes of banks are changing, you should also note this important number

Bank Customer Alert-: Bank of Baroda has said that the IFSC code of the branches of Vijaya and Dena Bank will be changed from March 1.




If you have an account in Vijay Bank and Dena Bank, then this news is special for you. Yes… IFSC code of these two banks are going to change from March 1. If you remember, these banks have been merged with the Bank of Baroda. If your account is in these banks, then your bank account number, passbook and check will also change.

Account holders will be affected

Changes in the IFSC code will fall on the account holders. However, you do not have to worry immediately. Right now, the IFSC codes of these branches can be used till the last day of February i.e. 28 February. The bank has also informed all customers in this regard. The work of sending SMS (SMS) customers has been done by the bank. Let us tell you here that Vijaya and Dena Bank merged into Bank of Baroda in 2019.

Bank of Baroda officials are vigorously engaged in the change in IFSC code of branches of Vijaya and Dena Bank. The bank is giving information through SMS to all the account holders of these branches. Many account holders have this information but there are some account holders who do not pay attention to the messages on the mobile. Such customers may have to face trouble after February.

Old IFSC codes will work till 28 February

Bank of Baroda has said that the IFSC codes of Vijaya and Dena Bank branches located in different districts will be changed from March 1. The account holders of these branches should feed their paying institutions by giving them information about the new IFSC code. If they do not do so, they may face trouble. The old IFSC codes will work only on the last day of February, that is until 28 February.




Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank merged with Bank of Baroda on 1 April 2019. But the consolidation of all 3,898 branches was completed in December 2020.
