EPF Interest Credit : The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has finally credited 8.50% interest to PF accounts for FY 2019-20.
After the circular is issued, which you can now check in your PF passbook And you can know that – how much interest you have received on PF in your PF account for 2019-20 financial year? So let’s know how can you check the interest amount in your PF passbook?
Check Interest In PF Passbook Like This
- First of all , visit EPFO official site epfindia.gov.in .
- Click the For employees option on the Our Services tab.
- Click on the Member passbook option below.
- Now enter your UAN number, password and security code and login.
- The EPF passbook page will open.
- Select member id I choose my PF account.
- Click the View Passbook [NEW: YEARLY] button.
- Select Financial Year 2019-20 in Select Financial Year.
- Your EPF passbook will appear below, which you can also download by clicking on the Download Passbook button.
- In this PF passbook, you will find Int. Updated upto 31/03/2020 entry will be seen.
- In this column, you will get to know the EPF Interest Credit Amount for 2019-20.
Here you will get to see the amount of interest in the employee share and employer share columns, however the interest amount will be shown as zero (0) in the pension contribution, as there is no interest on pension contribution. So friends, in this way you can check the status of EPF interest credit for the financial year 2019-20 in your PF passbook and know about the amount of interest that has been credited.
2019-20 EPF Interest Credit Story
- In March 2020, there was talk of paying 8.50 percent interest in PF accounts for the financial year 2019-20.
- At the September 9, 2020 CBT meeting, 8.50% interest rate was credited in two installments.
- December 2020 Labor Ministry sent a proposal to the Finance Ministry to credit interest at the rate of 8.50% in a single installment.
- On 30 December 2020, the Finance Ministry approved the proposal of the Ministry of Labor.
- Official notification on EPF interest was issued on 4 January 2021.
- Starting January 11, interest credit in PF accounts started getting credited.
