Raped and sexually abused under the pretext of marriage
According to Renu Sharma’s complaint, Dhananjay Munde is his brother-in-law and he sexually abused and raped her on the pretext of getting married. Renu Sharma has written that she first met Dhananjay Munde at her home in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in 1997. She was only 16–17 years old at the time. In 1998, Dhananjay Munde married his sister Karuna. But when Karuna was about to become a mother in 2003, she moved to Indore when Dhananjay Munde started coming to Renu’s house. Renu has alleged that Munde knew that she lived alone in the house, so she raped her and sexually abused her for several days.
