Government of India has electronicized the pension payment order of government employees. With this, all those people who got relief from a big problem, forgot to keep the original hard copy of their pension payment order in a particular place. Such people will not have to visit any office, instead they can print a hard copy of their latest pension payment order with the help of computer or laptop at their home.
What is an electronic pension payment order
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for North Eastern Region Development (Donor), Prime Minister’s Office, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the recently implemented electronic “Pension Payment Order” ( PPO) will ease the living of senior citizens.

Senior citizens often lose their pension payment order
Jitendra Singh said that the pension department in the Ministry of Personnel receives a large number of complaints that their pension payment order (original copy) has been lost somewhere. Memory decreases slightly with age. Many times, senior citizens forget to place their pension payment order in a particular place. He said that in such situations pensioners, especially older pensioners, had to face a variety of difficulties.
Retired employee can take print out of their LATEST PPO immediately
Keeping this problem in mind, the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare decided to consolidate the electronic PPO generated through the PFMS application of CGA (Comptroller and Auditor General) with Digi-Locker. This enables the pensioner to get an instant printout of the latest copy of his PPO from the Digi-Locker account.
